Rain, and more rain

I love when it rains.  Streets are cleaned.  People are inside.  Plants are fed.  My car is being washed.  I want to run out and play in the rain like I use to do when I was a kid.  Why do aged people give up child’s play?  I guess there is a slow down phase in life where one stops living and starts existing.  Go to school, get a job, make a living, have a kid or two, be happy with the wife, watch TV, talk about TV, go to church, grow old, save for retirement, wonder about friends of old, missing the days long past, still living and waiting for the end, going to god soon, that’s what they say.
